AV INVADER: 8-BIT & LIGHT (2011)

Bogotá, Colombia

AV INVADER is a large-scale stage design and live video mapping intervention inspired by 8-bit culture and 1980s arcade aesthetics. The project centers around a monumental Space Invader sculpture that functions simultaneously as a multi-projection surface for spatial optical illusions and as a booth encapsulating the performer.

Presented at Summer Fest in Bogotá, the installation merged nostalgic low-fi digital iconographies with real-time video mapping techniques, powered by GarageCube's Modul8 and MadMapper software under the technical collaboration of software co-creator Boris Edelstein.
